The Project Management Professional (PMP)® is the world’s leading project management certification. Now including predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, the PMP® proves project leadership experience and expertise in any way of working.

Using an interactive learning approach, participants are taken through the PMP® examination material with discussions, exercises and case studies. Simulated exams are held to provide examination familiarity and reviews of the examination questions build confidence and practice in thinking from the “PMI perspective”.

This course syllabus is aligned with the PMBOK Guide 7th Edition. Take the PMP® certification exam at home or in your office, when it fits your schedule.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for participants who intend to sit the examinations of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) to achieve the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential.

It is also suitable for participants who want to achieve a thorough grounding in project management best practices in accordance with PMI’s global standard the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide).

What’s on the PMP Exam?
Here’s an overview of what’s on the PMP certification test as of June 2022.

180 questions total
​230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes) to complete
Two 10-minute breaks
A combination of multiple-choice, multiple responses, matching, hotspot, and limited fill-in-the-blank questions

People: 42 percent of exam
​
Composing a little less than half of the exam, the people section includes questions on leading and building teams, managing conflict, supporting virtual teams, mentoring, and other related topics.
Process: 50 percent of exam
The process section tests your knowledge on the methodology of seeing a project through to completion. You might be asked about managing budgets and other resources, scheduling, handling changes in the project, and determining the best methodologies for the project.
Business: 8 percent of exam
The business environment portion of the exam deals broadly with the more business-minded aspects you’ll have to tackle as a project manager, like compliance, delivering value, and supporting organizational change.
Steps to get PMP Certification Online

Get trained

Confirm your eligibility to become a PMP certified project manager before proceeding.

Register on the PMI website, or become a PMI member and member of your local chapter.

Get enrolled in a PMP Course and undertake 35 hours of PMP Training

Take the PMP exam

Sign up for the PMP Exam by filling the PMI application form and submit it to PMI for approval.

PMI will email your eligibility code and payment request once your online application has been confirmed to be complete.

Schedule your PMP exam on the PMI app, my.pmi.org; you can choose to take the exam at a Pearson VUE test center or via the online proctored testing solution.

Become a certified PMP
​
This is the final step for you to get PMP certified. On passing the exam, you’ll receive a congratulatory email from PMI, typically in about a week or two, after which you will see your name updated in the PMI registry. You have now achieved a Project Management Professional Certification!
